• The author -> Jack. In the case of Jack, he is creating a work at the same time as fixing the work. In other words, the creation of the work and the interpretation of the work happen at the same time. 

• The phonogram producer -> Jack. He is the one who has invested his studio and time so that the phonogram can be produced. Also, it is he who has hired a session musician. In other words, Jack is the one who is providing the means and resources to make that fixation happen. 

• The performer -> Jack is the main performer. If such a phonogram were ever released, it would be released under his artistic label. 

• The featured artist -> Claire, a session musician, who has been hired so that Jack can fix the interpretation of a melodic line with the saxophone. With such a booking, all exploitation rights of Claire are usually assigned to Jack. Claire will have the right to appear in the credits, but in this case she will not appear publicly as a featuring collaboration with Jack, and therefore holds the position of a performer and not a featured artist.
