2. Question

Within collective management, exclusive rights licensing includes:

Work-by-work licensing, as would be the case for mechanical reproduction licences or, in some cases, for uses by public performance (author scope).
Correct Incorrect Correct answer

The white licence, where the licence includes the use of the entire repertoire represented by the licensing EGC. This would be the case for secondary public communication and broadcasting (radio and TV).
Correct Incorrect Correct answer

The extended collective licence, which allows the inclusion of the entire repertoire of all those right holders who have not explicitly refused. It replaces the white licence for some uses in those countries where it is applied. For example, this could be the case for secondary public communication and broadcasting (radio and TV).

Question 3 of 4

3. Question

The CGEs:

They are usually the only ones that can issue white licences.
Correct Incorrect Correct answer

Any right holder who delegates the management of any of their exclusive rights would in reality be losing control of that right, because the CGEs by law cannot refuse to grant a licence if the corresponding fee is paid. Therefore, in practical terms, once such management has been delegated, the right holder will not feel much difference with a simple right to remuneration, beyond the fact that the amount to be charged may be comparatively higher.
Correct Incorrect Correct answer

What limits the repertoire that a user can use are usually the licences granted by copyright CGEs, since neighbouring rights CGEs usually charge fair remuneration fees according to the uses they make, but there are no repertoire limitations
Correct Incorrect Correct answer

They are usually the only ones that can manage mandatory collective management rights, which usually coincide with simple rights to remuneration.
Correct Incorrect Correct answer

All of the above statements are correct.

None of the above statements are correct.
